Kids don’t need tv to see dirty picture
According to the I&B Ministry, if at all a film like "The Dirty Picture" has to be shown on TV, it should be not before 11pm, to avoid exposing kids to adult content. "I don't sleep before midnight. Since I have to complete my assignments, etc, I'm generally up till 12, and the TV in my room is switched on till I sleep. I've seen the film already, why would I watch it again?" asks 13-year-old Diwansh. "Every guy begins watching adult videos on the net in his early teens. So we'd hardly sit next to our parents and watch a Hindi almost-adult film. If the ban on such content was because of people my age, there's no point," says Sanam, 13. "This is nothing as compared to what we get to see on the internet. We had seen the 'uncensored' version of "The Dirty Picture" months ago," details Nikhil, 14. |
